Eclipse

I loved Eclipse the first & second time I saw it the past week-endish.

The things I loved about the movie was the more villianess approach to the whole movie, (Thanks David!) & The fact that taylor lautner wasn't so goofy in this movie! I loved the meadow scenes, and Jane! Dakota did an amazing job for the little screen time she had, same with jodelle who played bree tanner. She was the exact way I envisioned her.

I hated the fact that Edward didn't sparkle everytime when the sunshine was around, and that the story did seem a little rushed. Mama Cullen looked so aged with her make up on as well, I believe it was the darker hair.. but Im not 100% sure on that.

I loved the fact that I could say I had seen a lot of the movie being filmed, and the fact that a lot of the places are hangout spots among my group of friends!

Whats your thoughts and opinions?

Salary Dispute

Uggh, all the rumours flying around about Kellan Lutz and Ashley Green wanting more then 7 million dollars is kind of far fetched. I just want Summit to release a statement telling everyone everything.. but we all know that is not going to happen anyways. Here is what The Hollywood Reporter had to say..

EXCLUSIVE: Summit Entertainment is working furiously to close the talent deals required to split Stephenie Meyer's fourth "Twilight" novel into two films. But an unlikely roadblock is holding up an announcement -- and could even lead to cast changes for the series' final installment.

The studio is close to finalizing agreements with leads Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, all of whom will get big raises to return for a fifth installment of the vampire romance saga. And director Bill Condon is already signed to film two "Breaking Dawn" movies, which would be shot back-to-back starting in the fall and released in November 2011 and summer 2012, respectively.

But Summit is having a harder time locking in some of the franchise's secondary characters. Deals for Peter Facinelli (who plays Carlisle Cullen) and Billy Burke (Bella's father, Charlie Swan) are done, but we're told the actors who play the Cullen kids (especially Kellan Lutz and Ashley Greene) are trying to sink their teeth into bigger paydays that, at least at this point, the studio behind the billion-dollar franchise is unwilling to provide. "We may have a situation where one of them is thrown out on the street to make a point," says a source close to the dealmaking.

So are we headed for a recasting on the final "Twilight"?

There is precedent for such a tactic. After the success of the first film, Summit axed Rachelle Lefevre, who played Victoria, in part because her reps played hardball on money and scheduling. (Bryce Dallas Howard got the job instead.) Now, two films into the series, even the minor Twilighters (Lutz in particular) have become sought-after stars, so it makes sense they'd want to be paid more for the final film. But we're told that the offers from Summit -- which are said to be at least 10 times what the actors made on the first movie -- were deemed "offensive" given the mega-money the franchise has generated.

Summit declined to comment on the situation. But the studio wants to move quickly to pull the trigger on the two movies -- which it won't until the talent deals are further along -- and it isn't afraid to recast if agreements can't be reached. Plus, it has even more reason to be concerned about costs this time around. As is typical with blockbuster franchises, the "Twilight" movies are becoming more expensive with each installment. The leads are going to fare especially well if "Breaking Dawn" is split into two parts. The trio were initially signed for three films (remember, this was back when "Twilight" was a low-budget adaptation of a niche YA novel), but in the spring of 2009 -- after the first movie became an international hit -- they renegotiated all their deals so Summit could lock them for a fourth movie.

The studio then realized that "Breaking Dawn," with its 900-plus pages and narratives told from two perspectives, was dense enough to be split into two installments (as Warner Bros. announced it would do for the final "Harry Potter" book). Just one problem: The cast wasn't signed for a fifth movie. They're all huge stars now, with Lautner in particular running up his quote to the $7.5 million range, so another renegotiation commenced.

That meant ponying up big-time for the leads, which would make the final movie more expensive than the others ("Eclipse," which hits theaters June 30, is costing around $65 million, a figure sure to be dwarfed by the fourth and fifth, even if costs can be amortized by shooting them at the same time). Summit is still holding out the option of simply doing one "Breaking Dawn," although multiple sources say they'd be shocked if the fifth film doesn't happen. "This thing is gonna be two movies," one source says. "With or without the cast intact." Meyer has already signed off on the plan to make two — a key hurdle, given the approval rights she has in her deal.

Summit also is eyeing another cost-cutting measure for the final installments. A deal is currently being negotiated to move the production to Louisiana (the first was shot in Portland and the second two in Vancouver and Italy). Luring "Twilight" would be a huge "get" for the state -- and, given the tax credits, a money-saver for the studio.

"Twilight" has thus far been the rare tentpole franchise made on a non-tentpole budget. It'll be interesting to see the lengths that Summit will go to to keep it there. Booting an actor from the final installment of a successful series could be a risky move, though we're betting that as long as their precious Bella, Edward and Jacob return, fans would get over any disappointment pretty quickly.

I hope Breaking Dawn is filmed in Vancouver, and I hope the dispute ends sooner rather then later. I think that some of this is streched a little.. or maybe a lot. I don't want anymore cast to change, and I believe in some of them do walk away for a reason such as not enough money on a movie that basically made their career they are selfish, and are destroying their career. Thoughts?

Nordstrom Line

Nordstrom is coming out with some lip plumping venom, and a tshirt with "the newborn" on it. Which is kind of a shirt I want. lol The Venom I kinda already purchased one at Shoppers and I love it, I'd give it a try but I don't know if it could be better. =)

Eclipse Promo Pics.

Rosalie - Her hair line is wierd, and she looks less fierce in this promo picture compared to some from the previous movies.

Leah - she looks very animated, and her arm looks bizarre. Her face and hair just seems so fake

Jasper - I hate his overly gelled hair.

Jane - Looks innocent but devilish, I think its a little sweet but over all good.

Jacob - This is the worst of them all, it looks like he has lost weight, not as strong and doesn't look like he could take on a vampire.

Esme - This one is my favorite, simple and pretty and doesnt look animated.

Emmett - His face and Ears looks animated really awkwardly animated.

Emily - The scar looks FAKE FAKE & more FAKE. I am really disappointed in this as in New Moon It looked some what more natural.

Edward - I dislike the coat, its jean jacket seems kinda poserish for this bad boy leather would have been more appropriate and I loved his hair more so in Twilight.
Bella - Her hair doesn't look as bad as everyone was making it seem to be, and her holding herself looks awkard yet vulnerable and I love that becaause that is what bella is.

Dr. Cullen - Looks decent kind of animated a little bit and looks older, which is impossible in a vampire that is not suppose to age.

Bree - I love this photo. She looks exactly how she is suppose to. Although she does remind me of Malese Jow's who plays Anna on The Vampire Diaries

Alice - I like the suddle changes that they make year to year and love the fact that she has all the Cullen Jewels on!

Met Gala

Kristen Stewart at the MET Gala in a chanel gown and clutch. I find it very vampire-esk/gothic looking dress. I love the sheerness around her legs and love love love the shoes. The roushing in the dress fills her out. Very KStew, but I am definetly not feeling her hair. It's kind of 50's pinup girl, but it looks like it fell out in the back.

Comments..

Although I appreciate all your feedback, support and comments... I cannot understand the ones that are not written in english. For this I apologize, but will not be able to respond. Thank you for understanding.

Eclipse Re-shoots.

So the low-down on the highly filled drama rollercoaster, that is and surrounds the twilight saga.

They had a day in a park not open to the public in a gorgeous area. Their was nothing to see and nothing to report, Punk'd images rented a helicopter and got the shots that everyone was dieing to see. One of the other days all that could be seen were parking signs, crew signs, and a gate. What a pretty gate it was.. not. And the other day was in a small burnaby studio, not the same one's used in the past and all to be seen their were three police cars, multiple SUV's and some security. I went to one out of the three and the others were reported back to me. Although this time around not much to report set wise, our own Sexy Vampire Robert Pattinson was out and about Vancouver without security and with his friend Sam out for lunch and some beers. Its nice to see him out with a billion people chasing him and to not have security glued to his hip. Although I hope this continues for Breaking Dawn, I highly doubt it. I am happy to see them off because it means they will be back soon for more filming and that Eclipse can finally release, sorry it took a while to post but here it is.

Breaking Dawn

Bill Condon, will indeed be the director of Breaking Dawn, while Stephanie Meyer will infact be the producer. No word yet though if it will be one or two movies.
I am excited for Stephanie to finally have the creative say she deserves, sense its her world that we all love to get lost in. The only downside is she has layed the law down on a PG-13 rating which to me seems like a move to make a little more money from her younger fan base. If this wasn't the case it would be done the way she wrote it the first time. These young fans have already red the description of scenes that Breaking Dawn have to offer, and to me imagining those scenes in my head would be more then anything they could put on the screen. So why not? lol The other prodecures better step up their game on this one, and beg pleed and whatever else possible to make it that much more steamy! Check out what Twilight Lexicon had to say and the Full press release that went with todays news!

Eclipse Trailer thoughts?

I loved loved loved it! I have watched it a bajillion times, and still when I watch it I get the shivers and chills. Its that intense and I love the fact that I don't have to much longer until we all get to see it on the big screen. This was my favorite book of the series, and can't wait to see what they did. I loved the screen shots of the car flipped over as I had posted a photo of it when filming was going on and its pretty sweet. Another one I enjoy was the lake/beach scene with the new born vampires, as I go swimming here all year round minus december/january and I accidently fell upon this location because of my swimming obsession!

  • Thoughts on Jacob - Hotter!?! If that was even possible! More serious, and masculine especially when speaking. I found him before very feminine and childish, compared to the book.

  • Thoughts on Bella - I don't hate the wig! It doesn't even look like a wig, plus I don't really stare at her anyways.. she seems to have improved even on her facial expressions just in that 1 minute and thirty second clip!

  • Thoughts on Edward - LOVE LOVE LOVE! How can you not, just as dreamy as the first movie. I think he looks more pale in this movie, and I hate the contacts they are somewhat of a more orange and it throws me off.. anyone else?

  • Thoughts on Victoria - Although not Rachelle Lefevre, Bryce does fit the mold for the part, although the hair is a lot more red and poofy then it was for Rachelle

  • Thoughts on the Volturi - Love the fact that Dakota is so take charge, and they all look so stunning.

  • Thoughts on the Cullens - Jaspers hair looks... different. Not bad, just different, and its nice to see him with another look on his face besides constipated. Dr. Cullen's hair is a little different too, but I still love all of the Cullens!

  • Thoughts on the Quileute - The wolves look so much more realistic and less freakishly large!

  • Overall thoughts - Excited! Antsy for the 30th of June, and can't wait for Breaking Dawn to be filmed in Vancouver(wishful thinking).

Check out my original photos http://vancouvervampires.blogspot.com/2009/08/august-21-eclipse-set.html from the new borns with the car flipping!
